  1. How long have you been with BB now?
I started may of last year, was amazed at one of my favorite singers PINK performance at the Oscars doing aerial while singing. I didn't stop doing or trying something I liked because of my age cause age is just a number!
  2. How did you hear of us?
I searched aerial on google and found you! All I know is that I didn't want to body build and so I decided to try your studio and I love it.
  3. What is your favorite class? Why?
I don't have a favorite cause they are all great for different things, core stability to work on my core, stretch class for toning, pole for strength, and belly dancing are all my favorites!
  4. What would you tell someone that was thinking about trying us out?
I would tell them to come out and try it for a month, can't be one class, have to try the unlimited one month great deal try out to see what you like and don't like, everyone is like you, shy at first but then we are all women who always want to be fit and sexy too!!!!

Rebecca says:

So my story starts about a year and a half ago. I had just turned 22 and as I looked back at my photos from my birthday celebration all I could feel was unhappy. I was so uncomfortable in my own skin. I didn't recognize myself about 30 pounds heavier than I was when I had finished university. I decided I need a change so I joined a gym. I HATED IT! I struggled everyday to keep myself interested in what I was doing but despite all my effort I was not progressing at all. So one day I decided I needed something different. That's when my life changed forever! I walked into brass belles so unsure of myself and I was welcomed with happy, smiling, joyous faces and that was it I was hooked! At first it was definitely a struggle because I was starting from nothing however, I began to see progress like I hadn't seen before. First it was being able to do a proper push up. Then it was a pull up and now I can do things I could've never dream of.

Brass belles has not only helped me get fit it has allowed me to meet some pretty amazing people in the process. People who have not only helped me in class when I needed a spot but have also help me in life.

I am so happy that I joined brass belles because it has changed me (for the better) in so many amazing ways! #brassbelle #brassbelles #bellesfamily #lovethosegirls #lovebrassbelles.

After wanting to try pole for ages, I finally decided to check out Brass Belles and have been with them for about 8 months now. I was looking for a new and exciting way to get fit and stay healthy. The fun and challenging nature of the classes keeps it exciting and easy to stay committed to your fitness goals. I am stronger and more confident now than I have ever been. The instructors are extremely talented, supportive, and help instill a confidence in yourself that you may not have had when you first walk through the door. Potentially the greatest attribute of Brass Belles is the supportive culture of the students. As soon as you walk through the door, you can instantly feel an energy that makes you feel welcomed and accepted, regardless of you size, shape, age or fitness level. I can’t recommend Brass Bells enough!

Bianca says:

I started at BB in October 2016. I had always wanted to try pole dancing and after a friend recommended Brass Belles to me, I decided I would try it out. Initially I purchased a one month pass, but had no issue signing up for a monthly membership after that. Going to the studio became an addiction ever since that first Pole Essentials class with Mel.

My experience at BB has been incredible. It may be corny to say, but going to the studio has changed my life. A majority of my week I get to be around kind, strong and supportive women while working on my personal goals to stay active, lose weight, and build up my strength. Since October, I have lost 30 pounds by combining a healthy diet with going to the studio for 4-7 classes a week. I’ve also accomplished things I never thought possible (cough cough, inverting).

Don’t give up. You may feel silly trying out some new moves your instructor is teaching or, feel like you have not the slightest bit of sex appeal when trying to dance it out for the first few months – but good things take time. The more you stay committed to pole the better you will get. Just because someone nails a move on their first try, doesn’t mean you will – vice versa. The only person you’re competing against is yourself.

I never thought I would be able to climb. Finally after about 6 months I built up enough strength to climb the pole. I cannot express how good it felt to finally be able to do that. Overall my goal is to continue progressing in pole and smoothing out my dance flow. On the more immediate side, I want build the kind of strength my instructors have (they’re my inspiration!) and be able to do an unassisted helicopter/Gemini/Scorpio by September.
